A Registered Nurse (RN) by training, Elizabeth received her associate’s degree in nursing from Craven Community College in 1996 and later earned her B.S. in Nursing at East Carolina University in 2004. She expanded her leadership skills by earning a Certification in Health Care Management from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. As a Six Sigma Yellow Belt, she is an excellent agent of change. Her career has quickly accelerated and expanded far beyond management of nursing leadership. During her tenure at Craven County Health Department Home Health and Hospice, she served as the Executive Director of the Health Department Foundation, served on the Craven County Area Agency on Aging Board, and the Vice Chair of the Coastal Coalition for Substance Abuse Prevention. She is the current Director of Clinical Services for the Onslow County Health Department. Elizabeth also serves as the President of the Legislative section of the North Carolina Association of Public Health Nurse Administrators (NCAPHNA) and the President of the NCAPHNA Coastal Region.
